Hinge

When space is at a premium a simple solution is to add a hinge to your stairlift. This keeps the rails in a raised position when the stairlift is not in use. There are three different types:

Automatic – probably the best solution. The hinge will automatically lower and raise as needed based on where the lift chair is located during use or idle.
